It is now compulsory for primary school children aged seven and above to learn another language
The government is encouraging schools to adopt a wider variety of languages after a study found that teenagers at schools in England had the worst language skills in Europe.
LingoZingo has a team of highly qualified and experienced language teachers. We are able to provide expert training and tailor-made schemes of work for Primary School staff, we can help support your work, or if you require we can teach classes on a regular basis, delivering well-planned, exciting and fun lessons to your students.
We work to the individual requirements of each school, providing as much or as little as is needed. Please see the Teacher Training page for more detail.
The teaching reflects the demands of the Primary School Modern Foreign Language curriculum, in particular the Keystage 2 National Curriculum for Modern Foreign Languages.
Fundamental to the ethos of LingoZingo is the belief that children learn best when they are relaxed, confident and having fun. Simply, this underpins everything that we do. We use games, songs, art, cookery, movement, music, film, role-play and much more.
Learning a language from early on allows children to develop good interpersonal skills and confidence, good pronunciation, an awareness and appreciation of other cultures as well as, of course, the actual language acquisition.
The LingoZingo team is led by Mrs Jo Schwartz, an Oxford graduate with a BA Hons in French and Spanish and a PGCE in Modern Foreign Languages. She has 20 years of teaching experience. Fifteen of those years were spent teaching French and Spanish in secondary schools, part of which she was also Head of Year. She has also considerable experience in teaching primary age children, as well as adults, and has three young children of her own.
LingoZingo is not a franchise, so we are able to be flexible and responsive to your needs, at an affordable price.
